Primary Maths

Our Primary Maths program (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, for children typically aged 5-11) is designed to build a deep, conceptual understanding of mathematics, moving beyond simple memorisation. Primary Maths (KS1 & KS2)

Our Maths provision offers 4.5 hours of dedicated tuition per week, delivered across multiple sessions that ensure key mathematical concepts are introduced, revisited, and reinforced. Covering everything from number and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, to fractions, geometry, measurement, and data handling, our curriculum follows the National Curriculum and builds progressively across Key Stages 1 and 2.

Every lesson combines direct instruction, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and regular feedback. We use a variety of approaches—including manipulatives, visual aids, practical games, and real-life scenarios—to make learning both meaningful and memorable.

Primary English

We focus on integrating the three core strands of the National Curriculum—Reading, Writing, and Spoken Language—to ensure a holistic development of literacy skills.

Read Spell Write

Our Read Spell Write program provides a highly effective, systematic, and synthetic phonics approach designed to establish rapid, deep foundational literacy for children typically aged 3–5 (Early Years/pre-KS1). This dedicated system ensures children quickly move from decoding sounds to fluent reading and accurate spelling.

Read Spell Write

Read, Spell, Write is a focused literacy programme designed for early learners starting their reading and writing journey or needing extra support with core skills. With 3 hours of teaching each week across two sessions, children benefit from a consistent, nurturing space to grow.

Each session follows the systematic phonics phases, helping children decode and blend sounds with confidence. Children also practise handwriting, spelling, high-frequency words, and are introduced to basic grammar and sentence structure, building strong foundations for reading and writing.

Our sessions are based on structured, research-informed teaching and delivered through games, songs, stories, and interactive activities, keeping learning fun and engaging. Every child progresses at their own pace, with expert guidance and positive encouragement.

Perfect for EYFS and KS1 learners, Read, Spell, Write suits children who benefit from a clear routine, multisensory methods, and personalised support. Numeracy

Our Early Numeracy program is designed for children typically aged 3–5, laying the vital foundation required before formal Key Stage 1 mathematics begins. We focus on fun, practical, and multi-sensory learning to develop number sense, problem-solving skills, and a positive relationship with mathematics.

Numeracy (EYFS & KS1)

Our early years maths teaching programme designed to help young learners build essential numeracy skills and develop confidence with numbers from the very start.

We offer two sessions per week, totalling 3 hours, where children explore early number concepts, counting, sorting, patterning, shape, space, and problem-solving in fun, engaging ways.

Each session is carefully structured around the EYFS Early Learning Goals, supporting children to develop a strong foundation in mathematical thinking.

Learning to count, sort and solve Edu-K8 teachers support children to progress at their own pace with expert guidance and playful, hands-on learning.

Science

Our Science program is designed to spark curiosity, develop critical thinking, and build a systematic understanding of the physical, biological, and chemical world. We emphasise hands-on experimentation and enquiry-led learning, perfectly suited for the home-educated environment, ensuring seamless alignment with National Curriculum standards.

Science (KS1-KS3)

We offer 2 hours of Science tuition per week, with each half-term introducing a new unit of study—from living things and habitats to forces, materials, and the human body. Every session is packed with interactive experiments, discussions, and structured investigations, giving students the opportunity to observe, record, and reflect on real-world scientific phenomena.

Our lessons go beyond textbooks—children ask questions, make predictions, test their ideas, and document their findings through age-appropriate scientific write-ups, all while developing the key skills of scientific enquiry outlined in the National Curriculum.

With an emphasis on critical thinking, curiosity, and creativity, Investigate, Experiment, Explain nurtures the budding scientist in every child. Children are supported to work collaboratively and confidently, setting them up for future success in upper Key Stages and in everyday life.

GCSE Maths & English Exam Prep

Edu-K8's GCSE preparation courses aim to provide the structured syllabus mastery and high-stakes exam technique essential for achieving the required grades for post-16 progression (A-Levels, college, or apprenticeships).

Our Maths Focuses on full syllabus coverage (Higher/Foundation tier), advanced topics like functions, quadratic equations, and complex geometry, ensuring mastery of multi-step problem-solving and rigorous exam timing strategies.

For GCSE English Language our learners will develops skills in the analysis of fiction and non-fiction texts, mastering formal essay structures, and cultivating high-level descriptive and persuasive writing skills to meet specific examination board criteria.

Key Stage 3 Maths & English

The KS3 (Key Stage 3) curriculum acts as the vital bridge between primary concepts and the specialised demands of GCSEs.
